Step 4: UDelNet Account Set Up

Remember: UdelNet ID = MyCourses login ID

UdelNet Password = MyCourses Password

• Once you have activated your UdelNet account, it takes overnight for it to take effect on MyCourses.
• If you have any need to change your UdelNet password in the future, it will take overnight for the change to take place on MyCourses.

Previously Registered or Current Students:

• If you are unsure of your UdelNet ID or password, you will need to log on to the "Network" page using your
  • SSN and,
  • UD PIN.
  1. Go to the "The Network Page". Try logging on using your UdelNet ID and password. If that doesn't work, use your SSN and UD PIN.
  2. At "The Network Page", the system will display your UdelNet ID.
  3. If your UdelNet ID is still a number (57216, etc.), go to "Change your UDelNet ID". You will have to wait overnight to use this to log in to MyCourses.
  4. You may also reset your password at this point. You do not need to know your old password to reset a new one.
     • If you don't remember your password and you re-set it, it will take overnight for it to be effective.

New Students: The university does not open the system for new students until just before the new semester begins. Once you have set your UD PIN and waited overnight, you will be able to activate your UDelNet account.

• In order for you to log on to your online class, you need to activate this account. A UdelNet account is provided to all University of Delaware students when they register for a course.
  • Activate your UdelNet account. The UDelNet ID and password are used to log in to MyCourses. This takes overnight to become effective. Activate means to create a UdelNet ID and password.
  • Go to "The Network Page " page. Log in using your SSN and UD PIN.
  • You will be asked to:
    1. Take two short quizzes (UCCE and ECCE) concerning responsible behavior on campus and online.
    2. Create your UdelNet ID, which will be used to log in to MyCourses and as your email username..
    3. Create your password.
    4. If you would like to receive your UD e-mail at another email account off campus, this option is available to you at "The Network Page " after you have set your UDelNet ID and password. Remember, you are responsible for reading all UD email, even if it is forwarded.
  • Because the system is updated nightly, you will have to wait until tomorrow to log on to your course. After you have completed the steps above, bookmark this page and return tomorrow to go to Step 5.
