Earn an Associate in Arts degree through Online Study

The Associate in Arts Online provides flexibility to pursue a UD degree even if your schedule or location prevent you from attending classes on campus. 

Through this liberal arts degree, requiring a minimum of 60 credits, you take courses in the arts and humanities, social sciences, sciences and technology that are applicable to a range of career paths. With a variety of courses to choose from, you can tailor the program to fit your interests. 

This degree represents completion of approximately half of a University of Delaware bachelor of arts degree. If your goal is to complete a bachelor’s degree, the program starts you on your way, earning credits toward the degree while completing the Associate in Arts Online degree.

  • Developing a personalized educational plan: Ensure your coursework has the greatest applicability in achieving your educational and career goals. If you are thinking of ultimately pursuing a bachelor’s degree, it will be especially valuable to plan for those degree requirements.
  • Transferring previous college credits: Previous college credits may apply toward the degree. To request an unofficial transcript evaluation, email the ACCESS Center at access-advise@udel.edu. Please attach copies of all college transcripts and indicate interest in the AA Online Program. An advisor will email you to arrange a time to discuss the results and answer any questions.
  • Registering for courses: You may begin taking courses toward the degree prior to formal admission. An advisor will provide guidance on the course options to fit your needs.
  • Seeking admission to the program: Learn more about the criteria for admission and the process to apply for the degree.
