Students are chosen for one of two Governor’s School programs, academic or visual and performing arts. 

Each day, the academic program focuses on a different area offered by the various colleges across the University of Delaware system.  This year’s focuses include the following:

• Sunday
  • 5:45-8 p.m. – Kickoff events
• Monday
  • 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Business and Economics
  • 12:30-1:15 p.m. – Virtual lunch and social time
• Tuesday
  • 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Humanities
  • 12:30-1:15 p.m. – Virtual lunch and social time
• Wednesday
  • 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Virtual field trips
  • 12:30-1:15 p.m. – Virtual lunch and social time
• Thursday
  • 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Political Science
  • 12:30-1:15 p.m. – Virtual lunch and social time
• Friday
  • 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. – Environmental Science and Closing Ceremonies (Includes 12:30-1:15 p.m. lunch and social time)

Performing and visual arts students participate in daily small group and individual instruction from University professors and faculty in the students’ specific areas of focus.
